About Us
Our Mission
To move our most important asset, our customers, into their new homes safely, and economically.
To provide a service that will exceed the expectations of our clients.
To provide a professional, courteous moving service to our customers.
To support the ideals and principals of the Better Business Bureau and fair trade practices.
Our History
Westlock Movers was started in 1988 when Dennis Lefebvre, owner of Lefebvre Auctions, noticed a need for his clients to have large items transported to and from the auction site. He bought a three-ton cube van and “Westlock Movers” was born.
Dennis recruited his 13-year-old son, Dion, who was eager to help out and earn some money. Dion fell in love with the work and travelling, and eventually purchased the company from his dad in 1998.
Though most people cannot relate to finding “joy” in moving furniture, Dion’s passion and dedication is evident. “I’ve seen many things in my 20 year career,” he says, “It’s always new and exciting and sometimes very challenging. I get paid to travel all over Western Canada and into the Territories, often meeting new and interesting people every day. I’m confident that with our experience we are among the elite of the industry. I sleep well knowing I put 100% into every job, helping hundreds of families relocate with someone they can trust”.
Currently, the Westlock Movers fleet consists of two five-ton cube vans as well as a 24-foot fully enclosed trailer. They can accommodate both small and large office or personal relocations.
The crew consists of Dion and his friends/co-workers: Eli Day, Joshua Wahl, Darren Berard, and Ross Kerele, all of whom are well experienced in the moving industry.
Though they all have very diverse personalities, each member of the team is dedicated and professional with an “old fashioned” work ethic. Dion’s wife, Kara, assists in operating their home-based office while their children, Durell and Taryn, make noise in the background!
The staff at Westlock Movers are dedicated to their community as well as their customers. In the past year alone they have provided volunteer service and/or donations to many local organizations including FCSS / Santa’s Anonyous, Westlock & District Victim Services, Westlock Blooms Foundation, and Westlock & District Minor Hockey.
If you require any assistance with your local non-profit organization, or would like a free estimate for your upcoming move, please phone Kara or Dion at Westlock Movers.
